A lot of positives from this updated but equally there are negatives which can easily be fixed.
- So the first issue I will raise is in regards to pods / phase play. The new pod system in this update is much appreciated however when used the other forwards in the pod should be prioritised to join the ruck immediately. At the moment the opposition get to ruck first and successfully compete for the ball 90% of the time. As a result phase play is very much diminished and nearly impossible to extend 3+ phases.
- The second issue is more of the same but focuses on the KO and restarts. The player controlled team's AI is always too slow to respond to the ruck straight after the kick in the instance the catcher is tackled. This makes the game increasingly frustrating, especially in Be A Pro where the player has little control.
As the two issues revolve around ruck play in two particular instances of the game my solution would be to check for a KO or Pod use and apply an additional tackle bonus to the team in possession.
Another small detail that doesn't effect gameplay but player creation is that footedness of the player is reversed from what's actually selected.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I want to stress that I really enjoy this game and all previous iterations. I'm a fan since the first game and routing for this series to constantly improve and innovate rugby games.
