please explain the above photos to me without your usual response of "we have a team of rugby experts who decide on the ratings" because obviously they have no logic or are not actual experts
I understand that to make Malcolm Marx a 90 rated player his stats all need to be high and for Am to be a 78 he needs overall lower stats but how can his speed and acceleration be slower than Marx (A front row forward vs a Centre). if Am had to make a break this means a player like Marx would be able to catch him which is unrealistic and his speed is already unrealistically low for his real life speed of lukhanyo Am... as tested in game Am runs a 100m in around 13 seconds which is way to slow for his actual speed and has incredibly slow acceleration. lets not forget according to those attributes Marx is also more agile, better at jump catching a ball and better at catching a ball than Lukhanyo Am.... HOW???
another major issue is please tell me how most if not all backline players except 9 & 10 in this game can barely kick an accurate grubber/chip kick...most of them have margins of errors that span the width of the field. Based on your nonsensical ratings Malcolm Marx (again I remind you... a forward player) can kick better than one of the best centres in the world... Ams kicking bar should be well over halfway... or alternatively add an additional 2 kicking bars designed for chips and grubbers ratings because that makes sense as there is a big difference between being able to kick a chip/grubber kick than kick for poles so it doesn't make sense to include them in the same category...
or alternatively allow us to edit every players ratings...
another good option is to have different attributes for forwards vs back and replace kicking in forwards to scrumming/rucking that way all backline players can get the kicking stats they deserve and forwards can be rated based on what they should be...because another thing I noticed is that scrums and lineouts are not affected by your forward packs fatigue which is wrong... as your forwards become tired your scrums should deteriorate and line outs should become more sloppy.
this game is great but minor things like this ruin the experience... I dislike how most centres have little to no pace and once they break the line they get caught instantly just because they need to have lower ratings doesn't mean they slow or can't kick...
Ive always though the players needed a far wider range of stats as there clearly isnt enough, rucking is needed, scrummaging, just to name a few, look at FIFA which has pages of stats that can be altered to give more realistic ratings
Exactly... it’s not really right to compare the exact same stats between forwards and back line players. Back line players also need a playmaking skill for example... which could increase effectiveness of side steps, dummies, set plays etc.
I really hope part of the patch is to allow us to edit all the players attributes, as well as accessories and positions. Surely these parts of the star players aren't part of the licensing agreement and so can be changed by the user who has bought the game!
