Hey RC fans! Just wanted to say how grateful we are for your support / feedback and it is something we obviously anticipated releasing our Early Access build to you all. We are keeping a close eye on all of your bugs and suggestions and will try respond to those the best we can. 🙂 We are a team that are dedicated to our sports and have been fortunate enough to have had input from coaches, official unions, international star players, fans, player analysis teams from around the world.. all help make this as true to the game of Rugby as we can. We understand that our job is not done yet and again your feedback helps us and others to make this the best rugby game out there! While we work through your comments and clearing any bugs that arise, keep an eye out for some of these subtle game-play implementations: - At rucks, forwards have now positioned themselves as pods beside the ruck (sometimes one man pods if you've committed too many players) and watch the backs move in behind them. This allows for a forwards crash ball (which now have a higher chance of retention so you can play multiple phases instead of it turning over each time you crash it up) it also allows you to tire the opposition out if you decide to keep crashing it up and sometimes opens up the defending back-line drawing the defence into the action - cross kick time?
- In saying the above, forwards now have a designated pass button (the d-pad, left / right) and the backs have the normal pass button assigned. - At rucks / mauls the forwards are now the main people joining these when committing players. No longer should you see the whole back-line in there with props ready to take the drop kick out back.
- Each team has been assigned particular playing styles depending on where they are based in the world. Northern Hemisphere should now be using more tactical kicking / box-kicking and structured forward and back play. Southern Hemisphere should now play more expansive, still structured but with flair. Fiji specifically should have a higher risk pass / offload chance for those passes they seem to magically get away. South Africa should have a balance of Northern and Southern hemisphere styles with their mighty kickers and their Kolbe flair. - The fullback comes into line every so often automatically now acting as another man to pass to (which you can still do manually if they're not there when you want).
- When making a break, support shouldn't be too far away now, generally wrapping around or running beside you as a passing option.
- Halfback is the main passer at rucks now (unless he's extremely far away or under the ruck himself)
- General kicking aiming direction has been sped up (before it used to take an age to move that aimer across the field)
- Grubber / chip kick in behind the defence no longer results in an magnetic / automatic catch from the other team and now actually allows you the chance to regather the ball if timed / positioned correctly.
- Set-play crash balls don't require you to fend most times when running straight to a defender, as players should now carry momentum based on their strength and be able to boulder past (ie. try using Ngani Laumape on a Dummy Switch "Square" option on the PS4. - Passing needs to be more precise now. If the pass is not on (ie. the player you're about to pass to looks offside) don't pass it! or expect to have a few forward passes in game. Happy gaming and keep sending us through your feedback!
Would it be possible for the AI and players to assign playing styles to teams to adjust it to ultra defensive, defensive, medium, attacking and all out attack.
England and Ireland are usually the most risk averse.
Ireland have a unique style of one up one up one up for 80 mins.
The boks have unique style that is very physical, very strong in the scrums and lineouts, very strong in defence and set piece, good aerial and explosive wingers. Required the ability in game for drive over line outs and scrums, rather than a maul or scrum to stop 1 m short of the line

Update all the white screens in the game
@WW - Cole Good day. First I am really enjoying the game. My biggest issue with the game and the previous titles is the long passing. Please limit the passing to the player passing attribute those 50M passes really spoil the game and please let the player AI change attack direction less the play feels very unstructerd with these two mentioned issues.
Also I see there was a Server Update on the 19th however I don't notice anything different? What changes was it meant to make?

Share option for the "non-created" teams, I was hoping to have the option to share my clubs without having to create a brand new club of a team that is already created.
Possibly import option for logos?
Update the squads for 2020/21 Rugby Competitions, crazy Tupou Vaa'i is a generic dude especially now he's an All Black ;)
Update the ratings of some players also, particularly positions too if they aren't editable soon. Eg: Matt Philip starting test No.5 rated a lowly 54, Ofa Tu'ungafasi could be higher. Akira Ioane is no winger!!, Reiko spends his time now at 13. Savea 8, Will Jordan FB RWG etc etc
Is the Mitre 10 coming? have made the squads quite accurate on mine but sucks having 2019 rosters as some dudes are missing. Hopefully you's can just add them to the end of the squads without having to redo the whole player list if the actual squads won't be coming?
Team Management option before a game with touchpad, as if you were writing your team sheet! potentially use this also for quick on the fly changes during a game, like a window/tab in a suitable position not taking up too much room on the screen but not tiny either! Big Ant do this well with cricket and rugby league.
Would be quite handy, if you could select the guy to lead haka, I like how it reverts to Smith if TJ isn't present.
Maybe a toss? Cut scene would be good but even just an option for heads/tails with x/o then kick/receive/ north/south.
Career progression for players and tied to salary, increase in performance quals increase in rating quals increase in desired salary.
I like the diagonal button for the send runner but should have an option to chose a runner in the pod if you press that with l1/r1 and one of the circle buttons. If you just press l1/r1 should be 9 to 10/first receiver (l1r1 10 every time) or with circle buttons have option to pass elsewhere, maybe zoom camera out while you hold it down? Can never see who I am passing to on default camera with long press.
Have option use the 15 as set kicker off set kicker if 10 isn't avail. Maybe in fullback options instead of set kicker so your 12 can also be an option.
AI needs to play way, way better, its quite easy to shut them down because they just run weirdly and offload inside and out like they're holding a hand grenade. Maybe the AI is set at Cheika's Wallabies play style cause I hardly ever see them doing clearing kicks even in their own 22, they rather just offload ridiculously, either for an intercept or a forward pass.
What causes the AI to change the goal kicker and captain? I recently just did a Bledisloe Cup competition and the AI had changed the Wallabies to have Slipper as Captain and Harry Wilson to kick goals despite Hooper and O'Connor both playing every game? I get career mode captains will change but cmon Hooper is 88 rated to Slippers 80 while I haven't seen a No.8 kick goals in rugby for sometime! Possibly make it so if the captain in the actual database is playing he remains as skipper for both career and competitions. Goal kicker should go off stats for career not competition modes.
So we get some stats at halftime and full-time but what about being able to see this stuff and an in-depth scorecard during the match? Player stats would be nice too rather then just their last name on try scorer sheet.

Just read all the posts around career mode progressions + basic gameplay changes and make those changes and all of a sudden this will actually be a great game
Reduce ruck number requirements and 30m bullet passes. Add more around kick reception. Make the hardest setting much, much more difficult
Can we please have a crack at these things
- The time it takes to win/lose a scrum in both formats
- The scoring dynamics. Most tries in real rugby are scored with a dive so can we actually keep these as an option. Just a normal, simple dive
- The defensive fullback actually catching any kick on the full. Far too easy to hit grass
- Support players running genuine support lines. Too often they go missing as a draw and pass option
- Cross-kicks being a competition. Too easy to win
- Calling a direction (left or righ) on Be a Pro as opposed to always calling for the ball. Allows for draw and pass
- Getting rid of the hard, flat, impossible passes. Particularly the ones passing back inside at pace, as no one in the world can throw these
Amazing work guys, here is a feedback:
Too many players in the ruck are needed to keep the ball, set the maximum of players in the ruck to six and make the players impact to the ruck more powerful, so there are less players in fhe ruck and faster rucks! And, if possible, make the cross field kick a bit more challenging.
Would be good to have an intercept/catch button on defence, feels like I am running onto the pass a lot but never Intercept. Skill could be timing the press right or else giving away a penalty, making it risky to attempt.
Agree with the above points from danielgranger. If the career and be a pro have more depth, and the basics of gameplay are cleared up as indicated by all of the other posts this will actually be a good
