I’m generally not bothered about cosmetic stuff so here are a few gameplay elements that would massively improve the game and probably not be too hard to implement.
in career mode national teams call up female players for male teams
being able to edit position of face scanned players some a slightly off I.e. Courtney Lawes is down as 7 when he only plays 4,5 or 6, Itoje cannot play 6, Liam Williams cannot play 15 etc
easier squad management, if you have a 30 - 50 man squad making large scale changes takes forever, being able to sort or filter by position similar to how you can when adding to a team would massively improve this
knock on advantage lasts too long, I’ve been past the 80 min mark, 5m out needing a try to win and the ref will end the game due to the opponent’s knock on from 5 mins ago.
ability to score try from rolling maul, this is a really common try scoring technique (just look at the RWC pools) but you are not able to do this in the game.
scrum turn over, I don’t know about you but I don’t remember ever seen an opposing team winning a scrum against the put in by hooking it out their side. If the opposition is dominating the scrum it would normally lead to a penalty due to collapse. I think it’s a small change that would make the game so much more realistic. In general there are a lack of penalties given away by AI given how much of scoring in actual rugby is down to this.
the ability to pass to forwards using d pad is a good option but these are often isolated. some sort of pod would make for a more realistic option, perhaps even ability to pick and go with forwards when a few metres out.
I do hope this is read and at least considerlal of the changes are from a mindset of making the game more akin to real rugby.
All in all this is the best rugby game I’ve seen in a while and a think a few minor tweaks would make it excellent.
