In rugby, the effectiveness of a pick and drive option (from the base of the ruck) is based on the player body height.
Current animation: Player picks up the ball and stands conpletely upright.
There should be an option to initiate a pick and drive, similar to how a maul is initiated but different.
Forwards and get into tight pods and latch on. This could be some timing mechanic, especially at the tryline.
Players can initiate and mash square for a short gain of yards - maybe a timing mechanic between defender and attacker.
i.e. you attacker to initiate the pick and drive by pressing a button and opponent must time their input and button to stop the attack. If they press too early - results in losing yards/or offside call. Might create some nail biting moments at the tryline.
