Hey Cole and the rest of the team. As a life long rugby gamer, I want to leave my thoughts. I believe you are on the right track to a solid rugby game and I can't wait to see this game finished.
This is what I want to see in a rugby game, using RC franchise as a base. I'm leaving out anything I've already seen.
-kicker stats split into distance and accuracy.
-Scrums. There are no penalties in scrums and you can't drive forward if you get the better of the opponent (over for a penalty or penalty try if on the 5m line). You should also be able to collapse a scrum if under pressure.
-Mauls. We can't drive a maul over the try line and we also can't collapse the maul if the opponent is gaining momentum.
-Ability to charge down a kick
-ability to change defensive structures. Bring defence and offence line left or right while the ruck is forming.
-Rush defence that takes up stamina but put pressure on attack.
-ability to drop the back 3 (wingers and fullback) to deal with a clearance kick
-Enter the ruck from the side
-Offsides. It's very rare if either myself or the AI concede an offside penalty.
-tackling the player in the air in game play and also in the line out.
-Defender failing to roll away after making a tackle at the ruck. Could potentially be a tactic to slow down opponent attack.
-I would like to see more of an effect from choosing if i tackle a player or not. Only way I can get AI to score any points is to crank the break tackle and offload sliders. It takes a bit too much imagination when AI attackers should be picking off my defenders with passes/changing lines.
-I can defend 5 attackers on 1 defender every time.
-AI are very easy to tackle into touch. Even when I'm trying my hardest not to.
-AI in play kicking game needs work. AI rarely clears the ball when under pressure in their 22 or near their own try line.
-AI playing for losing bonus point. I have been winning by 8 points, clock is up and I give away a penalty right in front of posts. AI kicks for touch instead of take the 3
Keep up the good work. I see a world of potential in RC franchise and really love how you engage with the community. We seriously appreciate that
