This should be peno for defending team, and if this was corrected it would correct the wrongs of steals happening so often which 9/10 are illegal in this game at the moment,im sure this can be a easy fix,and it would defo bring the game closer to real life
Hi @Mat Kenny! You can steal once the tackle has been made but yes the tackler must role away. I'd like to think that all of this happened at the same time (tackler is allowed some leeway to get up) which makes this situation actually okay. The actual steal is fine as the player is on his feet and has approached the tackle from the right backward channel. If anything the tackler would be the one penalised for not rolling away but again, it happens all too quick for it to be actually problematic.
I know the rules,Tackler must release before you can legally steal/jackal,u would be done for not releasing or not rolling away,i play and watch enough rugby to know,in the video and many other situations the tackler never releases,i will record more examples. If a peno was awarded to blues in this video it would be 100% correct.
If u watch the video again the 12 makes the tackle and immediately the 4 jackals and steals with no release from 12, if you are aiming for a real simulation of a rugby game the details matter, rugby is a full of detail around the rules, also when a player dots down behind the try line after carrying over the try line its a scrum 5m attacking team,it doesnt always happen in the game,i may be picky but the details will make this game as the skeleton is there thanks
Thanks @Mat Kenny
Any indication as what are the plans for next update, and what suggestions are being considered, what do you plan on improving the game? I play a fair bit of the game and just wondering what will be the longevity of the game or is it finished as fair as updates
Hi @Mat Kenny ! As soon as we have something to report, we will share it 🙂
Knock on followed by ball taken back into try line resulting in a 22 drop out,no scrum for either, video attached
Thanks for sharing @Mat Kenny I have passed this on to the team to look into.
