3. Tendencies
Having player tendencies is a must, to truly create diversity between players forwards or Backs, such as Jonah Lomu and Shane Williams don’t play alike etc. I wanna fear the drop goal prowess of Johnny Wilkinson, or the chip & chase game of beauden Barrett, the 50m dropkicks from Fran’s steyn or Christian Cullen opportunistic slicing apart defences,
Fully customisable tactical plays:
Being able to create custom set plays, Team systems and Adjustments. etc
All blacks are the counter-attack team. Statistically they tend to have the best offense AND the best defence in the world, so it's hard to define them, but most of their tries come from counter attack.
Very structured
Efficient
Individual Skillsets
Dominant set piece
Pressures for mistakes
Athletic/skilful forwards
Speed out wide
Springboks tend to play a very physical style (from both forwards and backs) designed to dominate, out-muscle, and strangle opponents. They rely primarily on a territorial game - kicking to create waves of pressure and following up with tough forward play and pressure from kick-chasers.
Huge dominant forwards
Dominant set piece
Tactical 9
Kicking 10
Pressure for penalties
3 pts goal + drop goals
Speed out wide
Australia tend to play a fast-paced style trying to create opportunities for their incredibly dangerous backs.
Their pack is small
Athletic forwards
Great poacher
Dual playmakers 10 and 12
silky outside backs
speed out wide
England used to be about a mean and gnarly pack,10-man rugby were they'd dominate up front and kicking the opponents to death. The current team play a high tempo, fearsome early phase try scoring machine in the first 20 minutes of the match and try and put down a lead, then revert to tactical kicking, and controlling territory
Big suffocating pack
Dominant set piece
Bulldog
Uncompromising defence
Kick for territory
pressure for penalties
silky outside backs
speed out wide
France plays quite expansive running rugby, French flair
Wales used to be about mercurial backs, but the modern team is all about ferocious defence and fronting up physically, Warrenball
Ireland are very determined to hold onto possession, making small gains without too much risk whilst building up for set plays/trying to draw penalties
being able to make adjustments to stop Jonah Lomu from destroying my defence etc
Customisable player on field positioning: being able to place my players where I want on Défense and offense, if I have a fast mobile forward like Kieran Read ill place on the outside provide me with a extra piece in the back line or unleash a monster such as Billy Vunipola in the middle of the field creating overlaps. Replicating the dual playmaking roles the all blacks used in the 2019 World Cup is another example, or Pieter Steph Du Toit assigned to hounding the opposing playmaker.
Thank you for your time and I hope we can implement these features into the game, I appreciate it.
Great breakdown of suggestions here @tari1464 ! You sound like an experienced sports gamer and we appreciate the time you've put into this list.
Thank you very much,
Not a problem :)
@WW - Cole i hope the guys really take his suggestions in because this could elevate you’re game and please fans
Thanks @Jay a lot of ideas from these forums have been brought to the table but obviously we are unable to disclose specifically what just yet and in saying that, cannot guarantee every idea on these forums will be included. Thanks 🙂
@WW - ColeThat’s alright mate the facebook team need to take a page out of your book when it comes to communicating
@tari1464 absolutely fantastic contribution. well thought out, clear, concise, imaginative, exciting , just what we want and thankyou, must have taken some time to put that down!!!
Did i get the idea you were hinting at putting this into an online "Ultimate team" kind of thing like fifa have? i think that would be awesome.
would love these ideas to be implemented for your own "be a pro" character too.
Really hope the devs take your contribution into serious consideration
Hi @Joseph O'Rourke ! Yes, each suggestion posted on the forum is read and taken seriously 🙂
thank you for the kind words, yes should be available on all levels, be a pro, online, play now. me preferably play alot of play now games as i customize my own rosters to use i love creating legendary teams from 1970s Wales right up to modern great teams 2011-15 All blacks, 09 Springboks, 03 England, list goes on, older team are a lot harder to pinpoint due to not much data, even creating a all time Auckland blues is insane. lots of great suggestion coming in, awsome stuff
is it possible to get licensed boots, and a boot catalogue like in pro evo. can we also have restrictions removed on stats and boots on 'star player'/licensed players please? can we have career mode player growth and retirement. one could be to many injuries leads to premature career retirement can we run training sessions to boost player stats more set play options. a set play catalogue that you can assign set plays to your team different kicking motions for kickers. so you have say 15 different animations to choose from that you can add to players. you could also add in week foot ability and usage. Also a weeker hand ability and usage
a conditioning stat, injury frequency
i also think you need to improve the goal kicking meter. their should be a wider sweet spot and slower movement on the meter the better you are as a kicker.
their should also be a stat for hookers that has a similar impact on line out throws. i think you could also make some small tweeks to scrums and mauls.
scrums have a button to press to feed the ball, also to feed straight and to deliverately not feed straight
2 have a button to press to hook the ball, then go to the push up buttons
for srums and mauls, you should be able to drive over and score rather than stop before the try line. conversely their should also be the option to collapse the maul or create a choke tackle effect.
yellow cards, red cards and penalty tries.
penalty tries do not seem to be issued
yellow cards only awarded for high tackles.
yellow card should also be issued for repeated infringements, such as repeated slowing down of the ball, and repetitive pens.
their should be an animation to warn from the ref. high tackles some should be red if contact with head.
their should be an option for no arms tackles aswell.
defence,
you should be able to adjust to either blitz or drift defence
you should be able to adjust line speed.
Sounds really good if they could add this I think many of us would be happy and I would add box kicking to your attributes in kicking
Thanks again for your suggestions you are providing here guys!
Haven't played Rc4, just waiting for PC release. Can I suggest 2 things. Be a pro is my favourite mode. Is it possible to make the goals for the player more inline with the position I.e. not having the winger have a drop goal target of say x %.
Is it possible to go more in depth in this mode to make it more rpg /simulation, even say training modes on tackling, passing kicking to get up your stats.
The match rating doesn't seem to be graded fairly, I.e. rated much lower than should do per game.
Again I'm going on RC3, haven't yet played RC4
Thanks for your suggestions here @Joseph O'Rourke !
