First of all, good job on this!
The gameplay is definitely one of the better I've played... and I wouldn't typically post if I didn't think the game was one of the top ones.
Anyway, since playing, I've noticed a few things that could do with a little tweaking, that I hope you don't mind me mentioning.
To the rest of the community, please chip in & comment on your thoughts.
First off, and I'm sure this has been said multiple times... but any additional licenses would be great. Otherwise, I'll break down as much as I can:
Super hard to defend, a tweak to this would go a long way (markers above jumpers that you tap when to jump?)
Ability to have back moves off a line out pass (which you could probably call before the ball is thrown in)
Ability to pop to a forward / pick & drive (I've noticed there's a few forwards lined up near the scrum half, but pass always goes to 10)
Ability for 10 to drop back into the pocket (press RS/R3?) - No longer applicable
Note: This is actually possible by pressing one of the bumpers and using the d-pad for the option to put the 10 in the pocket (will confirm exactly how once I've finished work)
Customisable / assignable moves (I hate to say it, but Rugby 20 does a good job on this, tactics wise, the execution of the moves in RC4 is much better in my opinion)
If a player makes a break, there doesn't seem to be any supporting players nearby.
Mauls just drop the ball, rather than drive over the line when mauling over.
Backs moves from Maul would be great.
Pass directly from back of maul rather than drop the ball (you can probably just force stop the maul for this to happen, can also probably be worked into above point)
Defensive Tactics? (Drift, Blitz, etc)
Ability to wheel the scrums using L1/ R1? - No longer applicable
Note: It has been brought to my attention that pushing a single bumper/stick up achieves this
Ability to attempt to collapse using L2/R2?
First off, I do enjoy the kicking, its simple and effective...
But would it be an addition to have better kickers = wider black bars, worse kickers = thinner black bars, differing speeds (this could work both for accurate kickers and distance kickers my modifying accordingly)
Box kicking - would be good to be able to "call" a box kick (much like you would a move) to have the wingers move up to the line & prepare for the run
(potentially L3? with R3 set to drop 10 into pocket? - this might also work as you could still override and call moves if you changed your mind as these would be simpler positioning changes)
UI / Graphics / Gameplay
Ability to do "Team Management" before starting a game (during select side?)
A little fuzzy during gameplay & a couple of jitters
Slight tailoring to passing distance (a scrum half I was playing passed the ball about 40m, similar with a lock)
Rotate Hud with camera angle & make players stand out a little more
When trying to call a move quickly, you're unable to pass the ball until the defence is ready and set... it would be good if you'd be able to get the ball out as soon as possible (or at least, there's a rather long delay between when you select the player in the move and actually being able to pass)
Ability to Cancel a pass by pressing the opposite bumper
Additional trainings for some of the more "hidden" controls (10 in pocket, scrum wheeling, etc)
Game crash when attempting to do scrum training session during game load (Xbox One)
I think thats pretty much all I've come across at the moment.
But overall, I do prefer this game over its competitors at the moment, so good work!
