There are some bugs that are still annoying me. I've linked the above video to help point them out (I'm not a good player so forgive the poor gameplay):
0:54 - Why is Jack Riewoldt the default second ruck for Richmond when Ivan Soldo is in the side?
2:38 - Toby Nankervis looks the same height as a crouching Rowan Marshall and whichever midfielder is on the far side of the circle (Prestia maybe?) Pedantic yes, but I think you guys are trying to get everything right here.
2:52 - This is one that has caught me out a few times before. The St Kilda player behind the Richmond player actually has the ball but the white triangle is making it look like the Richmond player is in possession. Maybe use a different colour to fill the triangle instead of white for the opposition and also to fill the triangle.
5:16 - Ball sounds like it comes off the boot but it's called for a throw.
5:49, 7:54 - St Kilda player handpasses to the player running past but when I try it as Richmond at 9:36,12:21 & 15:25 the Richmond player runs towards the man on the mark and is almost tackled.
6:20 - I'm trying to work out why the Richmond player is pushed out of the marking contest. Seems odd and if it's a push off the ball then should be paid as a free kick
7:09 - Richmond is supposed to be playing with a spare man in defence. In this instance Broad is on the goal line. I have two issues - there is no spare man and Board is marking space. Broad should have attacked the contest a lot earlier as he has no direct opponent in this situation.
7:30 - After the ball is tapped the St Kilda players rightly chase the contested ball but the Richmond players have run in the opposite direction before turning to try and get to the contest. All to late.
7:45 - Houli has a free kick with players off the screen to the right but I (as the player) cannot pan to see them. Please give me the ability to pan from this position. I suggest using the right stick as it has no purpose while having a free kick unless holding R1 (I think it is). 8:16 shows how it should work (although using the left stick).
7:47 - Possibly another push out?
8:23 - Not sure how this slipped past QA but it's impossible to see the kick meter here.
8:25 - What's that St Kilda player doing so close to the kicker?
8:54 - Why is a second Richmond player inside the goalsquare?
9:35 - Again can't pan to see players off screen.
10:06 - Again, second Richmond player in the square.
10:11 - Again, cannot see the kick meter.
11:06 - Again, second Richmond player in the square.
12:10 - I know you've done some work to fix up handball chaining. Here is an example of a mistake handball. Clearly there is no-one to handball to but the game still allows the mistake to happen. Even if there was an opposition player in the vicinity I'd be happy as it could be a tactic to evade a tackle but to allow a handball in this situation is a bit silly. The handball at 14:46 shows where this type of handball to space should be allowed.
12:35 - Why is the only Richmond player that goes for the mark the user controlled player? Shouldn't at least one more go as well?
13:47 - Another poor handball related to point 18.
13:54 - Why is the 50m penalty paid? It's for the Richmond player being in the protected zone but it is never paid when the AI is in the protected zone. Also, it says it's for Astbury in the protected zone - I can't spot Astbury on the screen. I think he was on the mark and moved toward the backline after the kick. I actually missed why the infringement was given when playing. Is it possible to leave the infobox up until the free kick is taken?
14:47 - When the user swaps to Pickett why is the previous user player not trying to either bump or block the on-rushing St Kilda player?
I think you have a pretty good platform to build on with the game. It is fun to play but there are a fair few frustrations as I listed above. I don't usually play 2.5 min quarters, I usually play 5 minute quarters so essentially you could double my frustrations. There is a fair chance I missed some bugs in the 17 minute video as well.
I know all the above aren't important gameplay bugs (#2 for example) but there are some gameplay, UI and QoL issues I hope you are able to fix up.
Please let me know if you need any further details.
