My question to all of you on here is when do you know when you have the right slider settings? I feel like I spend more time changing the sliders than actually playing the game at this point. If I play one game where marking feels impossible and I have a third of the oppositions marks then I change the sliders for the marking but then it gets too easy. Finding that middleground seems impossible and time consuming I feel like when I lose games it's because of the sliders and poor game development and not because I'm "bad". Do I need to stop changing sliders as a reaction after every game I play? Do I have an unhealthy obsession with "normal" stats whatever that means?
I've kinda thought that the right slider settings are when the win/loss ratio is 50/50 but I don't even know. When can you feel confident that the sliders at the right settings? When can I feel confident that when I lose or win by 50+ points that it isn't because of the sliders?
I’m playing around with settings again. I’m surprised by the score lines you say you get when playing 7.5 minute quarters. All 5 games I’ve played with these sliders both teams have managed to kick 100 points each. Either I play aggressively or you play passively.
Wicked Witch if you are reading this I beg that you give us 6 minute quarters. 7.5 is too long and 5 minute quarters more often than not give me lower scoring games. Adding this harms no one and is surely very easy to implement.
4/5 games I’ve played I’ve won by 50+ so I obviously need to make things harder.
Im definitely gonna try turn off the wind indicator because set shots are very easy in this game. It’s just muscle memory which shouldn’t be the case since the green area on the set shot bar doesn’t change size depending on distance or angle from goal
I’ve posted these on the bigfooty forum, a fair few people are using them and enjoying them. Obviously tweak to suit yourself, but I find they’re a good foundation to work off. (Make sure you are using Legendary difficulty, as I haven’t tested with any other difficulties)

*I’ve also gone and individually tweaked all known talls/good marks with 10-20% points increase, and also reduced smaller players marking ability by the same amount.
*Ruckmen and other big players have had their speed reduced by 20-30% (less for the freaks like franklin)
*as I only play as the Dees, I have lowered general kicking ability of all my teams pledgers, and increased spoiling abilities of key defenders/Jake Lever etc.
I'll keep playing around with them like you say it's just that it's quite time-consuming playing those games to determine what are the best sliders. It's important to have the right mix of wins, losses and have varying margins so each game feels different.
I think the best way to determine the sliders is by keeping them the same for a while, perhaps 5-10 games, and seeing the results from all of them. Obviously if all of them are massive wins or losses, then that may be cause to change the sliders around. Once you get to a point where you’re getting a good mix of games, where both yourself and the opposing team is competitive, that’s when I think you’re in a good spot. I’ve tweaked around a bit, and at the minute at least I’ve found a pretty perfect slider combination, where there’s plenty or close games, along with some comfortable wins both my way and the opposing way.
I reckon this is the best way to sort out the sliders, and get a really fun game.
