The setshot system is too easy although I don't mind the system. It would be better if the bar actually represented the goals. If you're too early, it'll miss left etc and it should be smaller the further out you are and should fill up faster based on kicking skill of the player or pressure of the game situation. I also think a mechanic that is similar to the bowling in Don Bradman cricket would be awesome. Run in with the left analogue stick and when the timing is right, down up on the right. Kicking goals is the whole point of AFL and no game has yet created a system that is both challenging and rewarding and I think this would accomplish both.
The be a pro career is also a bit lacking. A player card system where you could monitor your stats would be good as well as training drills to improve your player. Dynamic goals during games would also be good. Coach gives you a specific task for the quarter, tag a player, kick some goals, push into the midfield etc.
The end to end camera angle would also be better if the camera followed the direction your player was looking. It works well on a kick in and it would make things like switching the play achievable.
I also think gameplay can be approved by allowing players to actually jostle without bumping. It'd be great to be able to push off a defender before making a lead or at a stoppage.
Hi @j.m.baker Thanks for the suggestions, I've passed them on to the dev team. We'll be looking at increasing the difficulty of set shots at longer distances.
