I've noticed that in the Madden game from the US, they normally get rid of players in coach career mode after they get delisted / unsigned, even if they aren't old enough to officially retire.
It helps with roster numbers and also ensures that the lower rated players don't take up roster spots from the star players from the draft.
For example, if I delist a player rated 68 overall, there's no way he would get a contract from another team every year for the next 5 years.
I thought this could be useful in AFL Evo considering delisted players always manage to stay in the league, eventually filling up every list and making every team skip their picks in the draft.
Hey @d1 , in AFL Evolution 2's Career Mode, when players get delisted they go into the delisted free agency section, where a number of players get signed. If they go unsigned from there, they get added to the state leagues, rather than being signed to other AFL teams or entering the draft. As for the lists filling up there is a bug where teams are able to go over the maximum number of players on the list prior to the draft which we are hoping to fix in a future update.
